I provide individual, group, and couples counseling to adults and teens. Holding a deep respect for each person's unique value and wisdom, I focus my efforts on the changes each of my clients wants to see in themselves and their lives.

While I use a wide variety of clinical techniques, common themes in my approach include an assumption of each individual's own wisdom and brilliance, and a practice of working with seemingly conflicting needs, such as self-acceptance and desire for change, to create space and energy for both. I rely on mindful awareness of the present and encourage bringing physical awareness to mental and emotional work.  Above all, I invite my clients to hold their deepest hopes as the guiding vision for our work.

I have worked for twenty years as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist in the fields of mental health, domestic violence, traumatic loss, and grief, in community-based, institutional, and private practice settings.  Before obtaining my social work degree from Bryn Mawr College in 2003 I worked in the fields of alternative dispute resolution, resource development, non-profit administration consulting, and music.
